We were formerly in the hedge fund industry managing all vendor relationships and noticed a shift which includes alternatives to research such as market data, technology, systems and niche research.
We know how involved the process is for asset managers to discover, evaluate and engage with providers who will ultimately impact their investment thesis. We also understand that there is no product that allows for bespoke projects to be addressed.
Time being a key factor, we’ve experienced first-hand that asset managers have very little to dedicate to managing these relationships.
We created Differentiated Research to bring providers to asset managers, keep them informed of industry shifts and produce a platform for asset managers to submit bespoke proposals (anonymously or openly) to the market and evaluate responses prior to engagement.

Because of our tremendous growth, we are seeking proven, successful sales people for an outside B2B Account Executive position. You will be energetic, entrepreneurial and help navigate DR through this season of rapid growth. You should be inquisitive, driven, innovative and loyal. While DR helps provide clarity surrounding the industry shifts in research as they occur, we want people who consistently seek to understand the unmet needs and obstacles facing our clients and offer suggestions on how to solve them.
With a genuine interest in helping our clients achieve their goals, you will not be deemed a ‘salesperson’ but, a ‘partner.’
Create, implement & execute an account plan to aggressively drive direct DR sales efforts and revenue results.
Meet and exceed all DR revenue goals and targets on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Develop meaningful account relationships with prospects and maximize upselling opportunities.
Lead all aspects of the sales efforts, from initial qualification of a prospect through the execution of contracts and handoff to Customer Contentment.
Deliver compelling sales presentations and product demonstrations that highlight DR’s competitive advantages and superior ROI for prospects/clients.
Identify, organize and focus DR internal resources (pre-sales and post-sales) that are required to effect closure of new sales opportunities.
Stay abreast of industry news, competition and ecosystem trends – be the resident expert for all things related to the customer
Work with our Customer Contentment department to exceed customer expectations and contribute to a high level of customer satisfaction.
Maintain a high level of pipeline and CRM discipline and accurate customer and prospect interaction data.
1.5+ years closing experience with a technical SaaS B2B Product.
Demonstrated and quantifiable history of meeting and exceeding annual sales objectives
Proven track record of inside-sales (transactional) success.
Daily use of CRM with live demos and technical presentations
Experience selling to following roles/titles: CIO, Director or VP level, Head of Research, Portfolio Manager, or Analyst
Ability to travel 20-30% as required.

Differentiated Research is a growing tech services startup company, seeking a highly organized, energetic, Chief of Staff to support the Founder.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, possess strong software and communication skills, and be motivated by the opportunities and challenges that come with a young tech services company.
The Founder believes that the company is only as strong as the members of its foundation. As Chief of Staff, you are DR’s foundation. You man the home front and thus have influence on the success and propulsion of the company.
Maintaining the Founder’s calendars and scheduling events (using Google Calendar or similar), and making sure events are confirmed with all participants across multiple time zones
Maintaining data integrity in CRM
Travel coordination – international and domestic
Draft emails, prioritize inbound communication, and respond to inquiries on behalf of the Founder
Assist in hiring process, coordinate interviews, maintain records
Special projects involving research, strategic planning, investor outreach, generation of reports and proposals
Planning and management of company events
Coordinate Founder and other Executives participation in conferences, seminars, speaking engagements, etc.
2+ years of experience assisting executives, ideally at a startup or company in the financial industry, or other relevant experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
BA or comparable life experience
Thrive in a fast-paced, open door, flat structure environment
Proficiency in modern digital office tools (such as Gmail, Google Calendar, Excel, Powerpoint, Dropbox, Slack)
Experience with Quickbooks or similar accounting software
Proficiency using CRM
